My Brother's Murder Has Been Swept Under a Rug and Forgotten

In early 2006, I lost my one and only sibling.

My older brother of 3 years, Demetrius.
Demetrius' death is a long and confusing story.

I'm not too sure that I even have all the pieces to the puzzle myself, or if I ever will at all.
What I do know is that my brother was trying to help our cousin (whom I blame for a lot of this nonsense) get out of a gang.

He thought he was doing the right thing by informing our older cousin (the brother of the cousin who was mentioned before) that his younger brother was in a gang.
When they went to remove him, a huge fight occurred.

My brother and another fellow apparently had their backs turned towards all the commotion whilst chit chatting.
And they were the only two that died that night.

My brother had a bullet in the back of his leg, 2 in his back, another in the back of his neck, and two in the chest.
I'm guessing he must have turned around to see what was hitting him.

He probably saw the face of a cold blooded monster.
His murderer.

Who is now being released from prison with time served.
Why?

The system is corrupt.
Yes, yes, I know.
Typical hearing this from a black man.
How many times do you hear black people in America complaining about being wrongfully done by the U.S. court system?
BUT IT'S TRUE!!

In some cases.
Mine for certain.

Gang violence between blacks is so common here in the U.S.

And it is embarrassing when I have to tell people that it's what I lost my older brother to.

From a little wannabe gang at that, over some petty bullshit.

This little bastard has taken something from me.
Something so valuable.

Something that I cherished.

If there's one person I knew would make sure I was okay until the day I died, it was my brother.

I see how my mother acts with her sister, and how their relationship is.

And I knew that's how my brother and I would be once we got older.

However, those thoughts came to an end.

The jury could not come up with a verdict regarding the innocence of my brother's killer.

Half of them thought he was guilty, the other half did not.

As a result, this monster is being set free with time served.

How could one of them even think that this bastard is innocent for a second?

He murdered 2 people!!

Oh, but he was supposedly told to do so by his older gang banging cousin (hmmph, more than one, huh? Gangs must run in that family) to shoot them......"or else."

If my cousin told me that, my first words would be, "FUCK YOU!!"

My parents raised my brother and I out in the desert (La Quinta SPECIFICALLY) to keep us away from that sort of stuff.

They were both raised in that type of environment.
They didn't want us to be.

But that plan sort of backfired.

As my brother moved out due to complications and frustrations and moved to my mother's hometown where he died a week or 2 later.

My brother's murder has been swept under a rug, and his killer gets to walk OVER that rug.

Demetrius died over something so senseless, and now he doesn't even get the opportunity to be avenged.

His killer is getting away with murder LITERALLY!!

You hear those every day sayings constantly, but at some point of your life, they will in fact ring true.

Rod Pacheco, Riverside County District Attorney, is a greedy son of a bitch.

Only looking out for his money and his promotions.

Even if if means stepping on all the little people.
Or setting a cold blooded killer free into the streets to kill again.

Not to mention, he made my brother look like a big, mean gang banger.

Something that he was FAR from.

Continuously showing photos of my brother holding up the west side sign with his fingers AFTER his name was cleared of any gang affiliation.

Um, hello?
We LIVE on the west coast!!

People of all ages, races, and both sexes use it.
Not for gang business.

After hard work and a lot of effort, my mother was finally able to clear my brother's name of any gang affiliation.

So why wasn't he avenged?
Is it up to me, or what?

They were quick to shut us up though.
Victims of Violent Crimes sent us a letter, and a small check.

But Pacheco continued to slander my brother's name, and make him look like something he wasn't.

And my parents both had to sit there, and watch their dead son be spoken ill of in front of an entire courtroom.
Not able to say anything in his defense, because once they do, they are immediately removed from the courtroom and possibly thrown in jail.

There really is no justice for us.

Rod Pacheco made the kid who shot my brother look like an innocent child who was playing with the big kids.

NO!!

This kid has been trouble since his family had to move out here from Los Angeles due to some mess he'd gotten into over that way.

This kid is the same age as me (I'm now 20) and he's taken 2 lives (that we know of.)

One of them just so happened to be my brother's life.

2 weeks prior to murdering my brother, "Mister" (his street name, hmmph, my brother didn't have a street name. He obviously didn't fit in with these people) apparently slapped a girl in the face for trying to break up a fight between two other girls.

One of the girls fighting was his girlfriend supposedly.

But the other girl he slapped.....was my younger cousin.

Why wasn't any of this brought up in court?

They said my brother had a gun, but it was later proved that his fingerprints were never on any guns.
Oh, but my brother is the one who was the animal here, n'est-ce pas?

The people involved with this case saw this and said, "Another niggers killing niggers case" in my opinion.

They don't care.
I'm sending every last one of their asses letters in hopes of hurting them with words as much as they've hurt my family and I since these pointless (that's what I consider them now, POINTLESS!!) trials started.

What was the point of even having a murder trial?
They would have been better off telling my family that there's nothing that they could do about my brother's death.

Rather than waiting 4 years, having us waiting with anticipation for his murderer to be rightfully punished, and for OURSELVES to be rightfully justified.
But there is no justice for us.

Merry Fucking Christmas.

Erique Speaks: The N Word

The N word.
Just a small, 6 letter word with a huge impact, and sometimes consequences.

I would just flat out say the word within this blog, but I figure it would be safe to just not.
I'm sure everyone has got my point.

If you don't, get out more.

Not many people know that the N word is defined as an ignorant person.

Ignorant can be defined as, "stupid," "uneducated," or the nicest term, "unknowing."

But just because you now know the word's true meaning, do not think that it is okay just go around calling everyone by it.

Since as long as I'm sure many can remember, the N word has been used as a derogatory term towards African-Americans and blacks (some "African-Americans" do not know if their ancestors came straight from Africa to the States, so African should not be what every black person is considered.)

Around the later-mid 1900's, the word sort of became forbidden.
Unless it was spoken by black people.

Now, I don't like to be hypocritical, so I will admit that I DO sometimes use the word.
I use it whilst speaking to my family members.
I just started using the word this year, as a matter of fact.

I could not stand the fact that so many people (my classmates as well as other blacks, racists, my family, everyone!!) used the word so freely.

So, I made it an effort to refrain from having the word come out of my mouth.

I still do not say it often, however I DO say it.

But recently I've been avoiding the usage of the N word in my own vocabulary.

I used to agree with others when they would tell me how ridiculous it is that black people get upset when someone of another race uses the word, while a lot of us say it 24/7.

However, people should really take this into consideration: black people took something, A WORD.

A simple 6 letter word that was used as such a negative weapon against us so negatively to put them down for so many years, and made it our own.

Flipped the script.

Turned the tables on that ass.

They made it so that it was our word, and that no one could ever try and use it to put us down EVER again......or else.

(consequences.)

So, do you think we want to just give it back?
And let people go around saying it after we took it, let alone have them calling us that again?

Hell to the no!!

Don't get me wrong, I do not condone the free usage of the N word by black rappers, actors, or comedians (or how often they use it rather.)

It is borderline outrageous at times.

And I feel that since black Americans have set so many trends in this country.
  •  All the dances in the 60's (the fly, the twist, the mashed potatoe)
  • Freak dancing
  • Jerking
  • "Party like a Rockstar"
  • "Crank that Superman"
  • "Pop, Lock, and Drop It"
  • Rock n' Roll (Little Richard, Chuck Berry)
  • SLANG
Whether America wants to believe it or not, black culture has heavily influenced this country for many years(not that any other races have not.)
So, blacks need to take this into consideration:

Many people embrace the black community.

Even if someone is racist towards blacks, something they do or say in their lives has been influenced by blacks.

A lot of people think it is fun to mimic and mock black people. Not always in a rude way either, some just think it's fun, which is fine with me.

So, when people see blacks using the N word as often as they do, EVENTUALLY they will start using it themselves.

And that should tell us something, n'est-ce pas?

In all honestly, the U.S. and the rest of the world should just erase the N word from this earth once and for all.

It would bring down a lot of racial barriers, and it just might make this world and all of our lives a lot easier.

Julian Assange: A Sex Fiend?

Wikileaks founder, Julian Assange was arrested yesterday, December 7, 2010 for his warrants for sex crimes in Sweden.

(According to the Huffington Post), Assange surrendered to Scotland Yard, and was jailed without bail.

Supposedly 2 Swedish women are accusing Assange of sex without a condom, and without their consent(rape.)

As I mentioned in my previous blog post, it is rather odd that these allegations are popping up once he gets a lot of unwanted from the U.S. Military (and maybe the British as well) for posting Iraq war logs on his website.

I was watching Fox News (a channel I NEVER watch) last night, and they mentioned that one of the women accusing Assange of rape is in fact a CIA agent.

But who knows?
I am not too sure as to whether Assange has committed such crimes.
But if they're taking it this far, perhaps he has.

I still stand by his side when it comes to his troubles with leaking such information as his website did.

American Secrets: The Wikileaks Files

You may or may not have heard about the recent troubles with Wikilieaks, a website that provides the public with once-secret information.

Julian Assange (below), the founder of Wikileaks appears to be in big doo doo, due to the fact that his website leaked Iraq war logs.

I personally do not think that Assange did anything wrong, but he seems to be wanted.

But what is the big deal about the logs, you ask?

These Iraq war logs have information that is rather shocking.

It's obvious as to why they would want to keep them secret.

BUT THEY'RE NOT SO SECRET ANYMORE!!

AND HERE THEY ARE:

(According to Telegraph.co.uk)

  • More than 15,000 previously unrecorded deaths where found within the  logs.
  • The logs revealed 109,032 deaths between January 2004 and December 2009.
  • The database records the following death counts: 66,081 civilians, 23,984 insurgents and 15,196 Iraqi security forces.
  • 2 Iraqi detainees claim to have been punched and kicked by British soldiers. Both suffered injuries that were consistent with their claims, but no investigations were documented.
  • U.S. troops accidentally attacked British troops on 11 different occasions!!
      1.   A commando with the Royal Marines was shot and wounded in one.
      2.   U.S. troops with no night vision goggles on and iPods blasting in their ears began firing on a British patrol.
  • Soldiers had to watch for Iranian rockets with "neuroparalytic" agents as Iran was giving Iraq chemical weapons to attack U.S. targets and civilians.
  • U.S. soldiers killed innocent civilians at checkpoints on the road.
      1.   On one incident it September 2005, they shot and killed a man and woman, and wounded their children when their vehicle failed to stop.
  • Prisoners report that they were shackled, blindfolded, and hung by their ankles and wrists. They reported being beaten. Among these prisoners were women and children!!
  • U.S. troops handed over their captives to the "Wolf Brigade" torture squad, an infamous and feared unit controlled by the Iraq ministry of interior.
And these are just a few things that I picked out personally.
There was more.
Way more.
The U.S. military denied all torture allegations, and said that they did not under-report the civilian deaths.
If these documents were so important, then how were they able to be leaked in the first place?
They aren't some nude photos of some irresponsible celebrity.

 THEY'RE IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS!!
WAR LOGS!!
Is the government trying to make themselves and the crooked soldiers (not all of them, I support the troops!!) who committed these awful crimes to look like angels?

Or trying to make the war seem less gruesome than it is over something so pointless?
They obviously weren't that important to anyone if they're now on the internet for all the world to see.
Someone wasn't doing their job.
And why so secretive anyway?
Shouldn't the people, THE CITIZENS of the United States of America be provided with all information, good and bad, that is relevant to our country, meaning relevant to our lives?

We live here.
Any and all information is relevant to us.

Just for making it so secretive after the media exposed this "scandal," the people want to know more EVEN MORE now.

The government seem to dig their own graves.

Then they want to point the finger when things go wrong.

OWN UP TO YOUR MISTAKES!!
As Judge Judy would say, "You were too irresponsible."

As in, too irresponsible to keep important documents "safe" (from the citizens of the country (or countries) that they're about.)

Now they want to attack Julian Assange for THEIR irresponsible behavior.

Assange was simply doing for the public what the government won't.

And that's simply PROVIDING INFORMATION.

Why was all of this hidden all these years?

Lastly, why all of a sudden is Interpol out to get Assange RIGHT WHEN all this other drama is unfolding?

They are apparently either after him for the rape of two Swedish women, or for having a condom break during consensual sex and either failing to tell his partner or not complying when asked to stop.

But why is it now that these charges are arising?

Maybe because the two women (who claim to be raped on separate occasions) did not know Assange, and now with all the negative publicity he's been getting, recognize him on the news?
Maybe the cases were thought of as too petty until they found out that he has a name?

Or maybe Interpol and the U.S. government want him so bad that they're working with foreign countries to get him?

Who knows?
He could be some crazy sex fiend, however.

He is supposedly living in England at the moment.

If he has committed these crimes, and if leaking important documents is so wrong, then why hasn't he been arrested yet?

They were so quick to arrest Martha Stewart.
